7 Days Unforgetable Kenya Safari

Embark on an unforgettable African safari journey through some of Kenya's most spectacular natural treasures. Start at Lake Bogoria National Reserve, a stunning shallow saline lake where you can witness one of the world's largest congregations of lesser flamingos—a pink spectacle of nearly two million birds. The reserve also protects unique wildlife, including the rare greater kudu and predators like the leopard and cheetah. Nearby, Lake Nakuru National Park is a renowned bird sanctuary boasting over 400 species and providing a crucial habitat for endangered black and white rhinos. Your ultimate destination is the Masai Mara Game Reserve, Kenya's premier sanctuary, famous for the annual Great Migration. Here, between June and July, you can witness the dramatic spectacle of millions of wildebeests crossing the treacherous Mara River, with hungry predators like lions and cheetahs in close pursuit.

Mara Sopa Lodge

Mara Sopa Lodge

Masai Mara Sopa Lodge is located on the furthermost eastern corner of the Masai Mara National Reserve on a hillside of the Oloolamuita Valley. The lodge blends in perfectly with its surroundings and the interior style reflects traditional Maasai culture. In Maasai the word ‘sopa’ means ‘welcome’ and at Mara Sopa all guests are ensured the very warmest of welcomes.

Located high on the slopes of the Oloolaimutia Hills, Masai Mara Sopa Lodge was one of the first safari lodges to be built in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, a reason why its gardens and trees are so lush and mature. All the buildings follow the design of traditional African round houses with conical roofs, and these stretch along the line of the hills with the impressively large public area buildings and the swimming pool at their centre.

The lodge offers accommodation in guest cottages divided into two wings to either side of the main public areas. Each of these house two spacious guest rooms with queen- or king-size beds, mosquito nets, electronic safes, en-suite bathrooms, and sheltered verandas that all have views over the gardens and the game reserve beyond. Six of the cottages each contain two suites with larger bedrooms and bathrooms, and both indoor and outdoor seating areas.
