This 7-day classic road safari begins and ends in Nairobi, and encompasses a round trip by road through 3 of Kenya's iconic and game-rich areas: Samburu National Reserve, Lake Nakuru and the Masai Mara National Reserve.
This road trip begins from Nairobi and travels to Samburu National Reserve in northern Kenya and on to Lake Nakuru National Park in central Kenya. End off with 4x4 game drives in what is arguably the finest wildlife-viewing destination in Africa - Masai Mara National Reserve.
For seven thrilling days, you and your family or closest friends will be in your own private 4x4 with an expert driver to guide you through the wilds of Africa. Set out at your own pace and linger at a rhino grazing peacefully with her calf or for a particularly spectacular sunset as the acacia trees are lit in an unforgettable rosy gold light.

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi, Kenya
Today our team will meet and transfer you to our city hotel for dinner and overnight stay. Depending on time of arrival, our team will be able to organize an optional visit to Giraffe centre.

DAY 2: Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve
Leave Nairobi after an early breakfast for Samburu, heading north, you pass near Thika town and continue north through some breath-taking scenery dotted with rushing mountain streams and fields of tea and coffee.
After Nanyuki town, continue north, eventually reaching a dusty outpost known as Isiolo, the last major stop on the journey into the remote northern frontier district. From here it's a fairly short stop to Samburu.
Arrival at the lodge in time for lunch and then depart for an afternoon game drive returning to the lodge as the sun sets.

DAY 3: Explore Samburu
Today you will have an early morning game drive followed by breakfast, and time to relax by the lodge pool or the terrace overlooking the river. After lunch there will be another game drive returning to the lodge as the sun sets.
Highlights in Samburu include: Going on early morning and afternoon game drives to explore the incredible Samburu National Reserve, well known for its lion and leopard sightings.
Enjoy a guided nature walk for a more intimate experience of the African bush. Interact with the local Samburu people, learn about their fascinating culture and be mesmerized by a performance of traditional dancing.

DAY 4: Samburu – Lake Nakuru National Park
Today we travel to the exotic Lake Nakuru National Park located in the Great Rift Valley. After lunch, an exciting game run is planned for the afternoon.
The game in this park is plentiful and the magnificent bird watching will make a devotee out of even the most reluctant. The Park also features a rhino sanctuary.
The birdlife here is world-renowned and over 400 bird species exist here, White Pelicans, Plovers, Egrets, and Marabou Stork. It is also one of the very few places in Africa to see the white Rhino and rare Rothschild Giraffe

DAY 5: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara National Reserve
This morning we drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve.
This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest's migration and is home of the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo, and Rhino.
Lunch at our Lodge and relax before departing for the afternoon game run. The Mara National Reserve is one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. Large mammals are varied and easy to see.
Residents in the Park are Masai Giraffe, Buffalo, Eland, and thousands of plain games including Impala, Zebra, Topi, both Thomson's and grants Gazelles.

DAY 6: Explore Masai Mara
The search for great predators and perhaps even cubs continues today and tomorrow during extensive game runs. On the plains are enormous herds of grazing animals plus the elusive cheetah and leopard hiding amidst acacia boughs.
During our stay, we also have an optional opportunity to visit a village of the Masai people to witness the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a poignant experience.

DAY 7: Masai Mara – Nairobi
Start our day with an early morning game drive. After breakfast, depart back to Nairobi by road arriving early afternoon.
