Overview
This safari takes us through the world-famous Masai Mara Game Reserve. We spend 3 nights in the Mara on morning and afternoon game drives in search of Africa’s Big Five and the plethora of other wildlife. The Maasai Mara is home to the Masai giraffe, Baboons, Warthogs, Bat-eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted Hyena, Topi, Impala, Hartebeests, Wildebeest, Elephants, Buffalos, Zebra, Hippo, Cheetah. The ultimate action here is without a doubt the annual wildebeest exodus, the Great Migration. In August and September millions of these grazers move north from the Serengeti in search of lusher grass before turning south again in October.
Balloon trips are an entirely wonderful way seeing the savannah plains teeming with wildlife. These Masai Mara balloon trips can be arranged at extra cost.
After your game-viewing adventure in Masai Mara, we fly to Mombasa and spend the next 3 days enjoying the sunshine and the warm Indian Ocean at a beach resort. Mombasa is the second biggest city in Kenya and boasts the largest port on the East African coastline.
